How many lights are in a modern bathroom?
The more the better especially if they are lights that can’t be seen directly! Indirect lighting has a magical feel cause you can see the light source and surfaces and textures around seem to glow and it feels really magical!
Let’s do a fun exercise and count how many indirect lights there are in some of these bathrooms. A modern bathroom has usually a minimum of 2 indirect lights and well lit with 3-5 lights on the ceiling. Why? No dark areas for one. Another is it gives the whole place a vibe.
The best kind of lighting indoors after dark is warm light bulbs. Buy light bulbs in the 2,700-3000 Kelvin Range! This mimics the warm light cast by the moon!

Floors
What’s on the floors? Notice how most of the cabinet sinks don’t even touch the floor to keep the floor as visible as possible. Here is an example not even the toilets are on the ground to showcase the beautiful floor work and you can feel every square foot of space by seeing it all! If there is anything on the floor it’s usually a large very clean white bathtub and it needs to be there. You can’t have a huge hovering bathtub. Another reason for keeping things off the floor is the lighting that can be utilized under things such as the sink. If it cantilevers out and it’s low enough ,add light under it to give it the feel it’s floating and lighting the walls and the floor even more! A really great way to make a space more modern is direct and indirect lighting!
